Experience the swirling colours and raw emotion of Van Gogh's masterpieces in a completely different light — literally — during Museum Night.

The Van Gogh Museum invites you to experience its world-famous collection after dark. Special atmospheric lighting transforms the galleries, making the yellows of Sunflowers and the blues of The Bedroom more vivid than ever. This year's Museum Night programme includes a live performance by a string quartet playing compositions inspired by Van Gogh's letters to his brother Theo, as well as a special exhibition exploring the artist's turbulent final years in Auvers-sur-Oise. Art historians lead intimate tours for groups of no more than ten visitors, ensuring a personal and contemplative experience.
